    Horse Training

    Yarrageh Performance Horses offers a comprehensive training programs designed to meet horses at every stage of their development. From gentle pre-starting and ground handling to confident starting and retraining, each horse is guided with patience, precision, and emotional awareness. Whether working with competitive horses, building experience through exposure work and miles, or preparing for sales and consignment, the focus is always on developing trust, versatility, and lasting performance.

    We work with a variety of horses, from European breeds and racehorses to the handy stock or quarter horses.

    Coaching

    At Yarrageh Performance Horses, coaching isn’t one-size-fits-all, it’s tailored to the unique goals and experiences of every rider, from competitive athletes to those who simply ride for the love of it. Our program covers a diverse range of disciplines, with us offering lessons and clinics from ground handling, all the way up to competition preparation.

    Whether you're refining technique, building confidence, or reconnecting with your horse, our coaching helps you develop a deeper understanding, stronger communication, and lasting results on the ground and in the saddle.

    Agistment

    Whether your horse is here to rest, train, or simply roam, Yarrageh Performance Horses is committed to their care. Our 170 acre property at Quialigo, NSW offers horses a secure and enriching environment to thrive, and we have plus access to an additional 200 acres of riding trails and open paddocks. With a diverse mix of flat country, rolling hills, thick bush, and cleared land, each horse enjoys the space and stimulation essential for well-being and development.

    Facilities include a rubber-lined sand round yard and a flat, open grass area ideal for flatwork and relaxation. Safety is paramount, with Duncan Equine horse rail fencing, which is reinforced with horse mesh and electric offsets to ensure protection and peace of mind.

  • We pride ourselves in maintaining sound, healthy horses; therefore, we always try to feed what we think is the best. After testing many other brands over the years, we have optimised our feeding schedule to facilitate this.

    Hard Feed
    We love Prydes! No, we are not sponsored we just love the all-round nutrition their feed gives.

    Hay
    We always buy quality hay, sticking to legumes and grass hays. This can depend on the seasons, but we try our best to get Rhodes Grass and Lucerne.

    Supplements
    We are happy to feed any supplements required and are able to offer advice on what would work well for your horse.

    We currently supply our own horses with combinations of the following: Equine Joint Plus, Hoof Plus, Toxin Binders, High Horse, Camomile Flowers, and Mighty Min by TNN Australia.

    All of our training and agistment positions include feeding and rugging.

  • We offer custom clinics by request, delivered with the same clarity, commitment, and hands-on expertise our riders know and trust. Whether you're looking to sharpen specific skills, build horse and rider confidence, or host a group learning experience, our clinics can be tailored to suit your discipline, level, and location.

  • Yarrageh Performance Horses is based in Quialigo, NSW. Nestled in the Southern Tablelands, you can find our property Yarrageh just 25km south of Goulburn.
